Getting Married?

Two people who fall in love do not even feel the love because they know the love in their minds. God gives love first to the mind. The first aspect of love is “no feelings” because its foundation is a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We know we are in love because the mind of Christ has given us that love for that individual in the plan of God. Then it enters into the emotions under the control of the mind, so that there is no envy, jealousy, anxiety or frustration because it was located in the root of divine initiation.

Outside of this, they would be living in disorder. Inside of this love, through God’s order, we have the nature of Divine Love. In 1 Corinthians 13, we never read about the emotions of the believer, because the nature of God, which is love, is first rooted in the mind; and then its effects emotionally are joy, peace, patience, meekness, faith and all the fruit of God in a man’s mind (Galatians 5:22). How great to be in His love, possessing the patience to wait for God’s time as we are transformed by a renewed mind which sustains us on a moment-by-moment basis.

How often can we perceive the plan of the devil to counterfeit a fellowship of Divine Love with relationships, adventure, visions, emotional sensations, and stimulation, which can never hold up under the demands of experience in time? Rather than God’s program of divine initiation and response, we now so clearly see the devil’s program of operation substitution. Let us wait on God living dynamically in His mind.
