The Pudding-Tested

When a man of God is called and speaks truth in God's place through the sovereign hand of God, then that individual carries with him power to bless. He is given as a gift to the Body, to edify and build it up and to be a blessing through Christ to the people. If God has sent him, then of course he is not the issue. But the fact that what he says is said through God, that is the issue. Blessing and cursing does not deal simply with the Spirit of God in my own personal relationship with God, but it is definitely determined by how I receive the person whom God has sent.

The Holy Spirit always moves us to submit in love and to be completely in oneness with the one He has sent. We are to be specifically under a government. The government of the Holy Spirit guarantees us a real life without being beguiled of our reward. We could easily be led into a subjective experience without a flesh and blood encounter with the one whom God has sent to test the validity of our experience. It is easy to be humble voluntarily (Colossians 2:18). But the proof of the pudding is in how we have received the Body and God's messenger? We cannot assume we live in humility until that humility brings us to the feet of the brethren. God has guaranteed that this is not a light thing. This is so true that just now people are experientially suffering because of not receiving the one whom God has sent.
