Who Receives the Benefits?

Do not fuel a desire that is outside of God’s will. Let go of earthly desires. Your earthly members that work to appease your natural temperament have been put to death. When you are born from above in an experiential life of faith, the use your members had through your earthly desires dies. The Word separates the soul from the spirit and you are God-conscious, elevated to the throne room of your new life. Your soul is in subjection to the objective revelation of the Spirit. As a result, the body can be controlled by Life from above instead of being dominated by that which is earthly. When your members are controlled from the earth, it is always you who benefits in the midst of discipleship instead of your being a disciple and magnifying God in the midst of the need. Put away all that would tend to be an idol, which promotes worshiping a desire instead of living by faith in the plan of grace.

What is God’s desire for me in His plan of grace? That Christ be all in me because I allow Him to be all in all things that have to do with me. Our own desires result in loss, for we do not win Christ in our own plans made without the mind of God. We may have success through our achievements, but when Heaven and earth pass away and the fire burns the dross, all that will remain are those things which cannot be moved or shaken, the gold, silver, and precious stones derived from a life lived according to the Word that endures forever.
