God wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (2). God’s deepest desire is for all men to be saved (2). We, as believers, have the privilege of being a part of fulfilling God’s greatest desire. We can see His desire come to pass as we respond to His great commission that He left with us. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father , and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:19-20).
It is no wonder that as we go in His name to tell others of His salvation that we are filled with such joy. Paul and Barnabas told of all the conversions of the Gentiles. Acts 15:3 says that, “They caused great joy unto all the brethren.” They were fulfilling God’s deepest desire presenting people with salvation and watching them respond positively.
What a privilege to share in God’s desires. We can rejoice with the angels when a sinner turns to the Lord (3). May we never lose sight of this. For the joy of the Lord is our strength (1) and it comes from seeing people accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (4).
