Bearing Fruit

There is a treasure inside each of us, and God desires that it be revealed on the outside, through our habits, our speech, and our manners. What is it that God desires?

He desires that the treasure results in a life that bears fruit. “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit” (John 15:8). “…I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit…” (John 15:16).

God looks upon a situation in a home, and He sees the treasure inside the people in that home. He desires that the treasure that is within becomes a fragrance on the garments of their outer life.

When the desire of a child of God becomes the same as His desire, there is a fragrance from the garments of that person’s life that you can appreciate. You recognize that there is something precious within him. It’s just good to have this person around.
