Accumulate enough substance to stay
We moved out here and have accumulated enough substance to stay. This is our separation, our disjointing, our escape, our harbor of strength. The great divide between soul and spirit deepens out here. Old-world goods and bads detach, with old- world emotions and self-collecting; we are free.
Our path of illumination has taken us completely apart unto Him through His rent veil. He is our refuge and covers us inside His “crimson” secret. Dead, our life is hid with Christ in God.
Sadly, others seek refuge in a counterfeit way. These want cake, and cake-eating both — a snare of the soul. Evil rushes to accommodate their lying impulse. Unfortunately, their false-security dream cannot quench floods. Indeed, they are motivated stealthily. Their end? The ways of death. The wise isolate their self from evil; the fool segregates from the good. Click To Tweet
“Wisdom” builds a house, “understanding” moves into it. Likewise, false wisdom also fabricates an edifice while simultaneously tearing down the true one. The fool moves in here. The wise isolate their selves from evil; the fool segregates from the good.
See, people are on a voyage inwardly; all seek a home, a place of repose, an affirmation.
Grasp the gravity of the event
Perhaps, they could borrow from the wise virgins? Not so. The light of perception could not be risked; oil shortages in the God-fearing could put out their lamps. “Go to town to buy your own” was the advice given. In so doing, five foolish virgins never realized what they missed; their Bridegroom.
Life is moving
The soul of man has a path, too — a field-in-route, because life is moving. Trampled and rocky, only the hardiest of weeds can find existence in its cracks. The birds find the overthrown seeds on it and devour them. According to Matthew 13, only one-fourth of the seed has any chance of being sowed effectively. What is this about?
Men seeking Certification , Belonging
All of this hurts light, hates love, hampers grace and hinders mercy. Intimacy, God’s highest aim for man, is compromised for a false lover. All is hazy in the dark.
All got a Penny
A landowner hired a man at 8 am and agreed to give him a penny. At 10 am, 12 Noon, 2 pm and 4 pm, he made similar agreements with others. At settle-up time, all got a penny. All got the same thing in spite of their hours of labor. What is the lesson? Well, in spite of a man’s disgruntled sense of unfairness, God cannot pay a wage to man. We cannot find reward of life out of self-effort for gain. It comes a gift, and there is no boasting. All get the same: God’s very best.
True fire burning, the light brightly shining
Friends, out here, safely in the arms of our Maker, we see Solace. The lamps of men are waning, their paths hardening, their hearts thickening, and the birds gathering. O keep the true fire burning, the light brightly shining. Hold on to the Spirit-oil.
No time for bushels or dampening either. Remember, though the path becomes almost impenetrable, the man who comes late in the day gets the same as the early bird. Nothing less than God’s unmerited reward.
Let’s shine, shine, shine. Those street corners are filled with empty hearts.
