Convention 2018 2018-06-19T12:53:27+00:00

Convention is here! The promise of God is that He will care for us. He knows each of us down to the minuscule details — a fingernail or single hair does not escape His notice as He works out the predestined purpose of total conformity to His Son. It is so obvious that He takes care of us spiritually as individuals. He also takes care of our churches.

We assemble every year with anticipation to be united, blessed, changed, encouraged, sharpened, and comforted by Him.

Please make the effort – at perhaps great sacrifice and expense – to assemble with us in expectation at this year’s International Convention in Baltimore June 25-30, 2018. He is with us, and He has an unfolding plan for each of us.

Glory to God!!

We recommend choosing BWI as your final flight destination. Philadelphia (PHL) is your second best option. The GGWO shuttle is servicing these two airports.
Are you considering flights into IAD because of a lower price?
Here are some things you need to know:

  • GGWO has discontinued giving rides to and from IAD.
  • Consider this rush hour advisory….6-10am / 3-7pm is rush hour and will result in much longer travel times. Fares will be higher during these times. Best to try to plan to come in the mid-morning 10 – 2 pm – if you can!
  • You will need to use transportation businesses. Prices vary depending on the level of service you require.
  • Public transportation options require an absolute minimum of 2.5 hours, and require several transfers to get you to Baltimore Penn Station. Then you still need to organize a ride. Google map offers a public transportation Schedule Explorer after you have accessed Public transportation directions.
  • Door to door transportation options:
    Uber Fare Estimator
    Lyft fare calculator
    Super Shuttle
    BT Shuttle

Getting to Baltimore from other airports (JFK, LGA, EWR, IAD)

We are unable to provide transportation from other airports such as New York (JFK or LGA), Newark (EWR), or Dulles (IAD). Many international travelers add BWI to their flight itinerary, and then get transportation from the BWI airport. (See Above.)  For more information on getting here from these airports please follow these links:

GGWO offers shuttle services to/from Train and Bus stations in the Baltimore area for those who chose ground transportation. GGWO will assist with transportation to and from the following locations. All transportation arranged through our office must be paid in advance. Transportation is only offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrival transportation should be arranged at least one month before your intended arrival and the fee must be paid before you arrive. Registration prior to June 1st is recommended. Arrival pick-up normally happens at the curb after you get your bags.

General Convention Schedule

Nursery: Ages 1-5

(5 year-olds who have not completed Kindergarten attend the nursery program)

The GGWO Convention is the highlight of our year. We look forward to our “family reunion” time of ministering, loving, and caring for our young children in a cool, safe, fun-filled, professionally-staffed nursery. There, each age group will have Bible themes emphasizing the character of God and His plan for each of their lives . We will have a variety of crafts, art, flannel graphs, and puppet shows to complement our Bible stories.

JR VBS: Ages 6 – 7 (5 year-olds who have already completed Kindergarten attend Jr. VBS)

We have added this program as a compliment for the younger children in our Convention programs. We are excited to introduce a theme and a Spirit-filled, fun-packed program that will leave our children full of joy and life. Our mornings and afternoons will be filled with VBS-style lessons, activities, snacks, games, and skits. Our evening program will have great guest performers and age-appropriate music and messages. This will truly be a time your children will not want to miss! Please note that this age group will not be attending trips, but will instead have lots of afternoon activities, games, etc. right here on campus.

VBS | Ages 8 – 10

The program for our older elementary children will include a theme and a Spirit-filled, fun-packed program that will leave children full of joy and life. Our mornings and will be filled with VBS-style lessons, activities, snacks, games, and skits. Afternoons will include some on-campus activities at the gym and some off-campus trips. (Please see schedule for more details). Our evening program will have great guest performers and age-appropriate music and messages. This will truly be a time your children will not want to miss!

JR TEENS | Ages 11 – 13

At the morning and evening meetings, guest speakers share the Word of God and stories from the mission field. These Spirit-filled messages promote God-inspired, life-changing experiences. Afternoon trips include bowling, swimming, and Hershey Park Amusement Park. Please refer to the schedule for more information.

TEENS | Ages 13 – 19

In the mornings we encourage the teenagers to join the sessions in the chapel where they have the opportunity to hear from Pastor Schaller, Pastor Scibelli, and guest speakers from all over the world. Afternoon activities include an open gym time, swimming trips to Beaver Dam, and a visit to Hershey Park Amusement Park. Please refer to the schedule for more information.
