Help Us Reach Haiti

Greater Grace World Outreach and its affiliates have been traveling to and working in Haiti for more than 25 years.

The result of the many short-term and some long-term missions is a network of pastors, orphanages, schools and Christian organizations. This small, but powerful, group of Christians has been doing the evangelistic work of Christ to reach the lost and His compassionate work to provide for the needs of man for decades. The recent earthquake has affected all of these people and devastated some. They are crying out for spiritual and material help.

Help Haiti to Recover!

In response to these cries, GGWO has launched this initiative: "Help Us Reach Haiti." Our goal is to provide spiritual and material assistance to the people and organizations in our network. No one can reach all the people of Haiti who are in need, but we can reach some. The work of God over the years has gathered 15-20 communities in which we have the privilege and responsibility of making a vital, lasting and measurable impact.

We have targeted four specific areas where our efforts will be focused:

  1. Repairing damaged homes, schools and orphanages.
  2. Meeting peoples' personal material needs (medical and dental care, food, clothing).
  3. Establishing Bible teaching/counseling centers to equip people with the spiritual tools needed for their individual situations
  4. Encouraging and supporting the pastors in the 15 plus churches (total of 3,500 church members)

Some points of interest:

  1. NO donations given will be used by GGWO to cover administration of the program. 100% of donated monies will go directly to the four areas of focus listed above.
  2. Many groups desire to provide material help, but have no network on the ground in Haiti, so food, medical supplies, clothes, etc., are left undistributed to the people in need. GGWO has an existing, TRUSTED network of leaders in communities all over Haiti. This means that what you give will get to the people who need it.
  3. Funds or goods given to the Help Us Reach Haiti project will be allocated by the GGWO Missions Committee, which is responsible to insure all funds are used in an appropriate manner. A report will be available on the Reach Haiti website or by contacting the GGWO Missions Department.
  4. Please NO donations of goods, clothing, food or medicine without prior approval from GGWO. Delivering supplies to those who need them may not be practical given Haiti’s primitive infrastructure
