Our time in Romania and Serbia was an incredibly blessed season. For my first month, I was working at a Christian camp as one of the summer team staff in the kitchen. On Sundays and Wednesdays I would attend church service in Brasov and I was even able to attend the wedding of a lovely couple in the church. At the beginning of August, the summer harvest crew attended the annual church conference in Vlahita, which was an incredibly refreshing time. The day after we returned, we came to church and we were able to hang out with the Body and give our testimonies in service.
On Monday, we headed to Serbia, which was quite a journey. We arrived at two a.m, but Pastor Dragan was a cheerful tour guide as he took us back to where Pastor Tomas and his family had just moved in that day. The week that followed was full of soul winning, street preaching, sight seeing and reaching out to the community in Belgrade and Senta. We were able to meet up with a crew from the Budapest church, and we attended service in Senta, where pastor Kornel has a small congregation.
Seeds and Prayer
Overall, it was an amazing time, and I am still hearing reports of seeds that were planted starting to grow and blossom. I’m very excited to see what God is going to do in Serbia, and there is already talk of starting a Christian school (ask Micah Stambovsky for more information). Please pray for growth and an openness for the country, and for God to open the hearts of the contacts we have already made! Thank you for all the prayer and support. by Esther Jones, MBCS student
