We had eight students from our Bible College in Maryland come down for a time of outreach, fellowship, fun, worship and vision.
Friday night we went to a homeless tent city under a bridge on route 59. These precious people may never be able to be a part of our church plant, but we were able to serve them with the Gospel and get some of them plugged into a great discipleship program with YWAM Street Church on Montrose.
Saturday morning we went for a Top Golf session. Later met up for a team BBQ Texan style with at least 30 folks at the Lyon’s home and had a powerful time of worship and interaction over the call of God.
That evening we went up to the Woodlands Waterway and mingled with people having gospel conversations, meeting people new to the area looking for a church.
Sunday morning we gathered at 10.30 and heard from our students on their vision, the call of God and what their passion was for the Gospel. That afternoon we had all the youth come over to our home for a pool and pizza party. It was a lot of fun and in the midst of it all we had quality conversations. Some of them might return here for their practicum.
