WELCOME HOME

Our society is in need of people who stand for God and who know what they stand for. What do you believe? Is your belief alive in your heart? Do you believe only on the surface of things, or have you deeply discovered God and His heart and mind?

Please join us in Baltimore this June for our annual International Convention. The theme for 2023 is Discovering God.

Believers are not only charged to embrace the Truth but to also pass it on to their children, friends, unbelievers, and believers. Intimacy with God is our privilege in these days of spiritual darkness and moral compromise. Our children and our churches and our communities need us. Most importantly God has called us. Let’s gather together and step into the fellowship of the saints, sharpening each other with our stories and our faces and our hearts.

– Pastor Schaller

REGISTRATION DETAILS

We are excited that you have chosen to join us for Convention ’23. Please take the time now to register so we can get an accurate count of how many will be attending.

To make Convention accessible to everyone, there is no registration fee for adults. However, we are asking for your help if at all possible. We need to raise $30,000 to defray the considerable cost of putting on this great event. Please donate at whatever level you can and receive a tier gift as a “thank you” for your contribution!

TIER GIFTS

Once again, we ask that you please register so that we can properly plan, regardless of which tier you choose.

YOUTH PROGRAMS

NURSERY | Ages 1-5

We look forward to our “family reunion” time of ministering, loving, and caring for our young children in a cool, safe, fun-filled and professionally-staffed Nursery environment. There, each age group will be cared for in a classroom specifically designed for their needs. While children ages 1-2 will have a morning of playtime, bible lessons, coloring sheets, a snack and outside activities, ages 3-5 will enjoy fun, curriculum-based, VBS-themed lessons each morning along with fun snacks, activities, outdoor play and crafts. During the evening session we provide great guest performers and age-appropriate music and messages.

*If your child is 5 years old and has NOT completed Kindergarten this year, they should be registered for the Nursery program.

JR. VBS | Ages 6 – 7

Children ages 6-7 will enjoy a fun, bible-centered program in our Family Center! Our mornings will be filled with curriculum-based, themed Bible lessons, activities, snacks, games, and skits. Our evening program will have great guest performers and age-appropriate music and messages. This is truly a time your children do not want to miss!

*If your child is still 5 years old, but HAS completed Kindergarten, they should be registered for the Jr. VBS program.

*Reminder: This Jr. VBS age group does not attend trips in the morning and remains on campus. The registration fee covers all sessions and activities on campus.

Each trip can be selected individually as an “Add On” to their registration. If your child does not wish to attend the daytime trips on those days, they may attend the Main adult session in the Chapel with a parent/guardian. Saturday there will be an outdoor field day with a water slide! There is no additional charge for the field day, but please be sure to select it during registration so we can have an accurate headcount.

TRANSPORTATION

We recommend choosing BWI as your final flight destination. Philadelphia (PHL) is your second best option. The GGWO shuttle is only servicing these two airports.

Are you considering flights into IAD because of a lower price? In the end, it’s not usually a time or money saver.

// Here are some things you need to consider:

  • GGWO has discontinued giving rides to and from IAD.
  • Consider this rush hour advisory. 6-10 am / 3-7 pm is RUSH HOUR and will result in much longer travel times. Fares will be higher during these times. Best to try to plan to arrive in the mid-morning 10 – 2 pm – if you can!
  • You will need to use transportation businesses. Prices vary depending on the level of service you require. See options below.
  • Public transportation options require an absolute minimum of 2.5 hours, and require several transfers to get you to BWI or Baltimore Penn Station. Then you still need to organize a ride. Google map offers a public transportation Schedule Explorer after you have accessed Public transportation directions.
  • App based transportation options:

        –  Uber Fare Estimator

        –  Lyft Fare calculator

// Getting to Baltimore from other airports (JFK, LGA, EWR, IAD)

We are unable to provide transportation from other airports such as New York (JFK or LGA), Newark (EWR), or Dulles (IAD). Many international travelers add BWI to their flight itinerary, and then get transportation from the BWI airport. (See Above.) For more information on getting here from these airports click HERE.

GGWO offers shuttle services to/from Train and Bus stations in the Baltimore area for those who chose ground transportation. GGWO will assist with transportation to and from the following locations. All transportation arranged through our office must be paid in advance. Transportation is only offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrival transportation should be arranged at least one month before your intended arrival and the fee must be paid before you arrive. Registration prior to June 1st is recommended. Arrival pick-up normally happens at the curb after you get your bags.

INTERPRETATION

Interpretation will be offered through the LiveVoice app. Please download the app in advance from either of the links below. Make sure to bring your own set of headphones that you can use with your smartphone or listening device

Please note: This is a different system than in previous years and there is no charge for this service. Additionally, interpreters do not need to be on-site to provide interpretation for the conference- they can translate from their home churches or from wherever they are.

Interpreters can reach out to sbveader@gmail.com for instructions about the LiveVoice App.
