Due to overwhelming response, limited space and security concerns, you may be asked to provide a written recommendation from your GGWO pastor before your application to Eurocon 2020 is considered. You will be notified via email if this is the case.

We would like to welcome you on this years’ conference. Please check the list above (if you haven’t done it already) to see if you need a visa in order to enter Hungary. If your country is not on this list, you will have to apply for a visa. If you need a visa, please see the list below to find out what documents will you need in order to apply for your visa.

In order for you to be able to apply for your visa, you’ll need several papers from us, so we need your help with that.

We also need a scanned copy of your passport. We need you to fill out the form and email a copy of your passport no later than the 1st of January.

Documents needed for visa applications

General Requirements

  • Valid passport the validity of which has to exceed that of the requested visa by at least 3 months;
  • 1 passport-size color photo (not older than 6 months);
  • a wholly and legibly completed, signed application form: the application form may be acquired free of charge at the consular departments of the foreign representations or download it from the website of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Schengen application forms are uniform therefore any application form issued by one of the Schengen Member States is eligible for applying for a Hungarian visa.
  • a health insurance
  • a certificate certifying lawful stay, if the applicant is not a citizen of the receiving country.


To fulfil the requirements of the visa application, the applicant, besides meeting these general requirements, shall also supply a certificate of the financial coverage of his expenses, and a certificate of the purpose of the visit.

The financial coverage of the expenses shall be certified with one of the following documents:

  • an original income certificate of the employer or
  • a bank account statement on the account turnover during the last three months or
  • a pension slip or
  • a certificate of registration in the case of an individual entrepreneur or one-man firm or
  • a valid ticket, a certificate of a reserved and prepaid journey, accommodation or
  • in the case of minors, a declaration by the legal representative on the coverage of the costs and on the existence of the financial coverage or
  • a letter of invitation issued and endorsed by the Office of Immigration and Nationality

Visa Fees

Application for an airport transit visa, transit visa or short-term 60 EUR entry visa.

  • The visa fee shall be paid when the application is submitted.
  • The consulate does not charge any further fees other than the above for issuing a visa.
  • If the application for a visa is refused, the fee will not be reimbursed.
