Exciting Open Doors

These people in Mumbai are from the low caste untouchables, called “dung workers.” Their job each day is to work with cow dung. Pastor Ganesh has been having gospel services with them every Wednesday night at their tents near the dung factories.

Privilege and Honor to Know Them

We are thankful for the opportunity to return to Mumbai and Orissa, India, for a month to invest more in the churches we helped plant in the last 10 years. Lord willing, we will be teaching God’s love in India and then return to Cambodia.

For 10 years we saw God reach many in India and Nepal. We walked in the slums of Mumbai and made friends, held Bible studies that turned into churches with Pastor Ganesh. We helped teach village pastors and rescue orphans with Pastor Pradeep in Orissa.

Pastor Ganesh has recently got some exciting open doors. At the end of  January, Pastor Karl organized a meeting to honor firemen. He asked Pastor Ganesh to be the main speaker at the event, to give a friendly gospel message to such servants of society.

Recently, in the center of Mumbai there was a peace gathering of all religions in order to find ways for people to get along and understand each other in peace. Key representatives of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhs, Jains, Catholics, and evangelicals were there.

Pastor Ganesh was chosen to be the representative of Christianity, and he was told to share a message of who Jesus is and what was His message. Pastor Ganesh gave the gospel to all the people. The other religious leaders got to share their message also.  What an opportunity for him to reach lost people with the message of JESUS!

Pastor Ganesh preached at Christmas outreaches and Praise Marches for about 15 days in a row. Believers in our churches gathered in many well populated streets to march. They handed out over 50,000 gospel tracts. Pastor Ganesh preached the gospel from the back of a truck. Many listened attentively.

Pastor Pradeep in Orissa also had tremendous Christmas outreaches to those who had never heard of Jesus before. Many lost souls got saved. In one village he found two children who had no parents and the village had cast them off. He got village permission to take them into our Grace Family Orphan home.
