People had been brought back from the dead by Jesus. His resurrection was different, however. He arose and is alive forevermore. He was the firstborn from the dead so that death is now defeated. The King came incognito. Few recognized Him as He took on human flesh. Jesus came to communicate the eternal about our lives, to tell us, ‘you are gods.’ We were made for more than we realize. Christianity is nothing without the Cross. Jesus came and He was mocked and belittled. He was also alone. Some, however, knew Him. Jesus faced amazing heaviness, a weight of opposition that maybe drove Him to a point of desperation and insanity.
