It’s amazing, Dear Pastor Toll! I thought I knew next to nothing about Reformed Theology, but ten minutes into your talk, discovered that one can know even less and still use PowerPoint!!! Where did you glean what is described as the reformers’ tenets (covenant of works, a covenant of redemption, eternal life as a reward for obedience, a real gem, or a covenant with Adam, a covenant of works that did not work and thus had to be replaced by the covenant of redemption, Father and Son covenanted together…)? “Succession of covenants…”? You must be aware of RC Sproul, aren’t you? He himself said that he “almost never uses this designation”—just go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW1X8j4kCus
Do you find Google helpful? That’s what resulted from my two-minute search: The Church promotes the belief that Christians do not earn their salvation, but that it is a wholly unmerited gift from God, and that good works are the Christian response to that gift. Reformed theology as practiced in the CRC is founded in Calvinism.
And later: In this insightful book, R. C. Sproul walks you through the foundations of the Reformed doctrine and explains how the Reformed belief is centered on God, based on God’s Word, and committed to faith in Jesus Christ. Sproul explains the five points of Reformed theology and makes plain the reality of God’s amazing grace.
Did you ever hear about the Reformers’ Five Solas?
1. Sola Scriptura (“Scripture alone”): The Bible alone is our highest authority. 2. Sola Fide (“faith alone”): We are saved through faith alone in Jesus Christ. 3. Sola Gratia (“grace alone”): We are saved by the grace of God alone. 4. Solus Christus (“Christ alone”): Jesus Christ alone is our Lord, Savior, and King. 5. Soli Deo Gloria (“to the glory of God alone”): We live for the glory of God alone.
Thank you Pastor toll. This was so informative. Definitely need to listen to this several times to grasp it all but what an amazing job you did explaining covenants and dispensations. I appreciate the time you took and would love to have you do another webinar and go into more detail.

To educate yourself beyond the PowerPoint, I’d suggest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35A3oXb661kCatholic, Evangelical, and Reformed: What is Reformed Theology? with R.C. Sproul It’s fascinating!!! or
