What Really Counts?
2020 has been a very different year in some ways, but actually I was thinking that in the ways that really count, it’s just another opportunity to do what we always want to do… find ways to minister to others the life that we receive.
Cookies
Once a week I bake up a batch of chocolate chip cookie bars, put them in Ziploc bags for our church families, and get on my bicycle for visitation. It’s been great to get to know the families even more intimately as we open our Bibles together in their homes. We are not permitted to hold church services in our building, so besides these house visits Zoom meetings are it.
Blessings
We have more radio listeners than ever, as I teach an hour each day on La Hora de Gracia. Another blessing this year is that more and more people in the church are actively sharing their faith in Jesus Christ with the lost.
Our book, booklet, and tract ministry has more than tripled during this time, and still, we are struggling to keep up with the demands of our people for more materials. The Bible college is growing, too.. We have 40 students taking classes live as well as 75 online students.
Daily Devotional
I’m writing a daily devotional which goes out each morning to over 200 people around Latin America. Anyone who would like to receive it can simply write to my WhatsApp number to be included in the daily mailing.
Teaching Grace Words
Some of our young ladies in Peru, Chile, and here have started a children’s ministry called Club del Libro, The Book Club in which they are producing weekly videos to teach our children the grace words that we all know and love.
