Summer News
It’s been a good summer despite all the social distancing and restrictions on travel. Our Online Summer Days conference was a great success with many international speakers and different studios and workshops. After the conference we were able to carry out our plan to make a summer harvest trip to Riga as Latvia has been one of the few countries where we can travel to without a two-week quarantine upon returning to Finland.
Many have also traveled to P Matti Sirvio’s new guesthouse high up in Lapland – only a couple of hours drive from the Arctic Ocean – where a unique little conference was organized in August.
Excitement
We have been excited to see many new visitors in our services in Helsinki this summer. Please pray that the newcomers would find a spiritual home among us. Some have also expressed their desire to get a Bible school training. Together with the new target areas of Latvia and Lapland all of this has brought a sense of excitement and expectation.
Pray for Us
Please pray that we can continue to keep our church open even if the second wave of Covid-19 is in the air and new restrictions might be coming. Pray for our Bible school, mission trips, youth ministry, and for greater opportunities for fellowship in different forms between us all. Please pray for us pastors and teachers – that the Word be would be rich and fresh among us. May we also find many ways of reaching the world around us! – Pastor Risto & Paivi Kyro
