Rescue team

We have a vibrant, dynamic and a very committed group of men and women at Greater Grace Church of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. It is such an honor, in fact very humbling, to be part of the unfolding great work of God here. We have seen the deepest devastation of Satan’s work in the lives of many people as he carries out his ministry of killing, stealing and destroying (John 10:10a). But at the same time we can testify, without a fail, of the redemptive plan and the work of God as He seeks to give life to so many.

There is so much joy in seeing the ministry of Jesus as prophesied in Isaiah 61, the ministry of restoration, “he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound… to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness…” This is truly the doing of the Lord and it is marvelous in our eyes. We are so honored to be part of His rescue team in Mozambique, as an extension of Greater Grace World Outreach.

Sound teaching

We seek to equip man and women through the teaching of sound biblical doctrine. Our vision is to train all of our students with the highest form of education so they are prepared to carry out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, to go into all the world and make disciples. We have ten students from our church, three from other ministries, and more inquiring. Please pray for more students with like-minded vision to come and learn the Bible, and be ready to go out and preach the Gospel to every creature. We need also more Bible college teachers.

Youth

We have a vision to reach youth with the Gospel. Our monthly meetings are well attended. Please pray for our young people to grow in hunger for God’s Word and be protected from poisonous teachings of the secular education and bad influences; for more young people to be saved and added to the Body; an assistant leader for this ministry, preferably a lady who would have a lot of creativity. Despite the challenges of  leading and sharing my life with young people it has contributed to my spiritual growth. I am challenged to study and investigate more and learn how to minister Christ’s life to them. ~ Agostinho Mondlane, Youth Leaderyouth

Ladies

We thank God for the women He has given us. We are particularly grateful for all the prayers of the saints and God who answers those prayers. We gather at homes to share the Word, play Biblical memory games, and close off these monthly outings with a time of fellowship around light snacks.
We ask for your prayers for a greater capacity for the Word, growth in participation, anointed time, and God to be glorified each time we meet. ~ Lebo Nhamahango, Women’s Ministry Leader

Men

Men’s ministry aims to win more souls and build the Body of Christ through the Word of God, and to build a strong unity among men. We aim to walk strongly in the faith as one Body. We are progressing spiritually more than in numbers. We need more creativity and commitments, along with changed attitudes. The ministry shows me how good it is to walk in faith with the brothers. It helps me understand the way of righteous living and empowers me to seek to live differently from the mundane! ~ Bernardo Nhamposse, Men’s Ministry Coordinator

The work has only begun, there is still much to be done, many souls to be reached and more churches to be planted, therefore we echo the words of Jesus Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Mat. 9:38)

Pray for us

  • Wisdom in leadership; anointed life, preaching and teaching of the Word;
  • More souls to be saved and added into the Body; new believers to be built up in God’s love and Body life;
  • Bible College students to find their calls and trust and respond to God by faith;
  • Christian education, our children to be protected and be inspired by God’s love as they grow and to stay in the Body;
  • A new location for our church;
  • Teams to start Bible studies in new areas;
  • Visitors and missionaries.

In Christ,

Pastor Jerónimo Nhamahango
