The Lord My Shepherd

Sufficient Savior

Psalm 23 is an amazing chapter to always go back to: the Lord my Shepherd.  There is no “is,” the Lord was, is, and will be. The Lord my Shepherd. When I come this realization, I have no wants. My only want is the Shepherd whether I know it or not.  When He is my Shepherd there are 5 things that change:
Wants are cancelled, there are no wants
Weakness finds strength, 2 Corinthians 12:9; I lie down.
Weariness finds resting place in green pastures
Wanderer finds a home; He leads me.
Wasted years are restored; He restores my soul.

We all need the Sufficient Savior instead of the Suffering Self.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
