The BBB
Summer has arrived. We are wrapping up school, with final exams this week and next, and then I will be flying back to America for convention!
This past weekend we had so many events. There was graduation, a barbecue, baptism, bonfire, and a going away party for the Kings, a family who has spent 20 years in the GGIS family.
Pastor Graham is wearing a blue shirt in the picture at the top. As the chaplain of the school, he has been doing the baptisms as long as I’ve been here. I am so sad to see him and his family go, but I know that God has an amazing plan for them.
The baptism, barbecue, and bonfire might be my favorite in-school event of the year. So often, students who have only recently accepted Christ as their Savior (like that very day, even) decide to get baptized. It really serves as a reminder of why I keep coming back after my summers in America!
Friends Come and Go
There is another family I know from the Korean church who are moving back to Korea and this Sunday was their last service. I am sad to see them go, but hope to be able to visit them soon! Please pray that I will be able to go to Korea at some point this year. It’s always been a dream of mine to go, I just need to find the right time.
This is a picture of me and a few of the kids from the Korean Youth Group having a picnic/going away party for the family who is leaving.
Joy in Ministry
While it can be a little sad working in this type of ministry and seeing people come and go, I also know that the people who are here, right now, are my people. God has given me an incredible opportunity to minister to those around me and I pray that I use every minute He has given me for His purpose. – Jon Cook
