We Have Seen

The Balkans Mission – Belgrade, Serbia

But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay (to hold it) (Jeremiah 20:9b).

I had to speak in His name, for I have seen the “Macedonian man” calling us to “come over to help.” Thus, we went to Serbia for a three-day mission trip from Prague via Vienna to Belgrade.

We drove overnight and arrived to Belgrade at 4 am, as our usual tradition is, and we had a welcome breakfast at local bakery right then and there. We ate “Burek” with Yogurt which is Serbian traditional cuisine, had few hours of sleep, and then went to the streets soul-winning.

Joy of Salvation

During these two days of outreach we had two professions, one of which was a young Muslim man who wanted to become Christian and I believe he truly received Jesus.
You know the feeling, the precious moment when a soul is being saved before your very eyes. You hear the bells, you see the stars, you hear the clap of angels wings and joy of heaven on high.

You know it’s all worthy of it, and then you realize you understand the story of a man selling all his goods to go and buy a field, where the treasure is (Matthew 13:44).

Sell and buy. Go, ye therefore!

We also arranged a Bible study meeting on Saturday night. Eleven people showed up. We preached a message on the Finished Work and the Grace of God that night — for there is no other Gospel!

We were all greatly encouraged and we are looking forward to our next fellowship in the Word of God.

On our way home, I shared tears and prayers for these precious people. God has many like these in His Belgrade city and I believe He wants to gather them, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings.

Please, remember the Balkans in your prayers. We cannot be more thankful for what we have seen, for we have seen the grace of God with our eyes.

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. (Acts 11:23)
