Grow in Cooperation

When we cooperate first with God in our mind, then all our outward expressions and actions can be reconciled to His heart. What would it be like to walk with God in our desired religious intentions and yet be without the freshness of His fellowship within? Only those who are yielded to a Cross and under submission to a government co-labor with Christ. Many labor for Him, toward Him, and with the use of His Name, but those who make no claims of their own spiritual stature are those who are workers together with Him. Many want to establish themselves with their own spiritual resume before God, to prove their availability and acceptability for promotion in God’s Kingdom. Those who work with Him are hid in Him and therefore neither receive nor expect recognition for their labors.

Those who live with one half of their mind in objective knowledge, go away in weakness never finding the grace of God’s life. They do not commit their entire mind by faith. You are first blessed with what you know, and then you grow in that which you receive by faith.

The rich young ruler came to Christ in his weakness yet went away sorrowing (see Matthew 19:16). Christ told him to sell all that he had. If he had responded in the transparency of his weakness toward his possessions, he would have walked on with God in grace. He went away feeling that all was impossible instead of walking with God who would make all things possible.
