How Will They See?

When we become Christians, many things happen to us. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (II Corinthians 5:17, NIV). We have a treasure inside of our bodies. He causes us to shine as lights in darkness (2) and to be perfected in our weakness (3). This is the way God works! We are to fix our eyes on the unseen and not the things which are seen (4). It pleases God for us to live by faith (5).

Our purpose is to show Jesus Christ to this world. How will they, who walk by sight, see our treasure which is hidden inside? God breaks our natural man, our clay pots, by allowing trouble on every side (6). Then His Son is revealed through us! We have the honor of showing life to this dying world and of revealing freedom to those in bondage.

Will you refuse this honor? Allow yourself to be placed in circumstances that crush the natural man, that allow our eternal treasure to be seen, so this world may know what our hope is. “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27, NIV).
