Throughout the day, people are heard to say, “I have to get to work” or “I have to go shopping,” etc. We purpose to do many things throughout the day, but how many times do we have this attitude toward soulwinning? Everyday we have opportunities to share the Gospel with others, but many times we are too busy with all our business. Jesus was always about His Father’s business. He said, “I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me” (John 5:30b). He told us to go “into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15b). This divine commandment leaves no way out for the flesh. God has called each of us in our personal lives to be “personal soulwinners.”
Do not say, “In a month I will go.” Purpose in your heart each morning to win souls for the Kingdom. Even when you do not have an opportunity to speak with someone, be in an attitude of prayer for those who do not know Christ. Pray that God will put people in your path who you can speak with. Ask God to give you brokenness for the lost. You should not approach anyone without a heart attitude of prayer.
As you purpose in your heart to soul win and trust God to guide you, you will experience a joy that comes only from God.
Remember that “there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth” (Luke 15:10).
