Put On the New Mind

One problem I have noticed is that too many Christians have become familiar with their fallen personalities and their natural temperaments. They dismiss this all by saying, “Oh, that’s just a part of being human.”

Shame on you! Who wants to hear that? Yes, we are human. But we are to live as people who have faced an empty tomb. We are people who have the power of divine ability, the power of God that can make a man live forever and will give him a perfect glorified body.

Let’s have new minds every morning through the mercies and compassion of God. Let’s have new lives, new beginnings, new hearts, new motives, new premises, new presuppositions, new conclusions, new friendships, and new relationships. Let’s leave the oldness of the letter and simply live as new creatures, according to the New Covenant, with a new life.
