Have you ever been perplexed by people who listen to God's Word and who appear to receive it, yet never manifest the fruit of God's blessing in their lives? It is because that which has been received has never been released. Instead, the Word has been hidden, remaining dormant inside of the heart. Power is accumulated, but it is never allowed to release itself into energy.
What every Christian needs to learn is how to release faith so that supernatural substance will characterize their lives. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Hearing is different from just listening. Hearing is receiving with the intent to act upon what is heard. This produces a potential of faith. Next, we obey what we hear without needing evidence to substantiate our obedience. Then, the Word actually becomes the substance of our actions.
Obedience to what I hear from God's Word releases faith, the substance of things hoped for. In Joshua 3, the priests were commanded to step into the water while it was still high. They heard God's Word and obeyed, and the obstacle of the water was removed.
As you are motivated by God's love for you and by the promises He has made to you in His Word, practice stepping out by pure faith knowing that the things which seem to hinder you from going forward will soon be removed. In Mark 4:35, Jesus says, "Let us pass over unto the other side." Faith will take you there.
