Theme Song Of Eternity

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things… But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (I Peter 1:18-19). Sometimes we do not realize how precious the blood of Jesus Christ is. The basis of it lies in the fact that it is incorruptible, in contrast to the corruptible things such as gold and silver that are powerless to ransom our lives.

“They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth forever) – [literally, no payment is ever enough]: That he should still live forever, and not see corruption” (Psalm 49:6-9).

No payment is ever enough to ransom even one man’s soul. Therefore, the blood of Christ which is efficacious in redemption, has a value which is infinite and beyond human reckoning. It is for this reason that the blood of Christ will inspire the theme song of eternity that will be sung throughout the infinite ages by the redeemed.

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness… Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever” (Revelation 1:5-6).
