In John 6:35, Jesus said to the disciples, “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” Christ is revealed to us through His Word, and therein we find all of the fulfillment and satisfaction we need in life.
When our desire is in the Word of God, the Lord will not withhold any blessing from us! He will give us every provision we need to study, to work, or for any situation. When we truly live with Christ as our “everything,” we do not put the Scriptures aside and live in want. We trust Psalm 23, which says that the Lord is shepherding us. As we bank on His Word, three things will characterize our lives:
1) The peace of God will rule our souls.
2) The truth of the Word will become internalized in our souls.
3) Everything we do will be in the nature of God’s name as we are totally dependent on His indwelling provision.
