Obedience Brings Strength

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:18, 20). God asks that as we walk with Him, we tell others about Him.

God has given us the responsibility and privilege of telling others the good news of our salvation. The Gospel is the most urgent message that the world needs to hear. The eternal destiny of every individual depends on hearing and receiving the Gospel. God’s desire is that none should perish (2), but that all be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (3).

It is our responsibility to be living epistles who communicate the truth of a risen Savior. As the Holy Spirit leads, we are to communicate the Gospel clearly and sensitively to those around us. We do not have to be pastors, have the gift of eloquent speech, or have access to nationwide television in order to fulfill our personal commission. We need only be submitted to God and sensitive to His Spirit in order to take advantage of the opportunities for evangelism given to each one of us. This obedience to the Great Commission is essential to the strength of every Christian’s walk.
