Jesus Christ is the supreme example of manifested wisdom. He took on a human body and became a house of wisdom (2). “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14a). This person, Jesus Christ, is the possessor and dispenser of wisdom. “Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom” (Proverbs 8:14).
As we learn of His wisdom through the Word of God, walls of doctrine are formed in our souls. A house of wisdom is being built inside of us. “Through wisdom is a house builded; and by understanding is it established; and by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches” (Proverbs 24:3-4). “The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21b). It is a kingdom which cannot be shaken (3).
The house of wisdom teaches us to decrease as He becomes greater (4). We learn to take up our cross daily (5), and to lay down our lives for others (6). God is pleased as we reveal to the lost the mystery which was hidden for so long. This is the mystery of His grace – Christ, perfect wisdom within us. “In whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God through the Spirit” (Ephesians 2:22).
