When God connects us through the Spirit, we have friendships that run very deep. Mephibosheth was slandered and maligned by Ziba, and David was hasty in his judgment of him. But none of that mattered to Mephibosheth. He loved David and rejoiced when the king returned. The eternal purpose of God really protects our friendships. (1 Samuel 16:2-4; 2 Samuel 19:24-30)
