Turn to the Lord

When some people read the Word of God, there is a kind of veil that covers their hearts. This veil represents the flesh. Because they have entered into a system of works, they attempt to perform the requirements of the Law in the energy of human effort. They cannot see the Finished Work.

Yet, when a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. His vision is no longer obscured.

I couldn’t recommend anything more beautiful than turning to the Lord. In my next breath, and in my next decision, I can turn to the Lord. When emotional pressures, financial problems, health problems, or unexpected adversities come upon me, I turn to the Lord. What happens? The veil is taken away!

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17).
