By the power of God’s ability in us, the Word goes into our frame of reference and becomes a part of our vocabulary. It becomes the basis for the norms and standards of our thinking, for our confession, and for our decisions.
Then, the Word becomes a part of our production, application, and the manifestation of what we have received. Doctrine becomes our divine viewpoint, and we are able to manifest Christ in the fellowship of this mystery, letting all men see it.
Every day of our lives, we can purpose to let others see Christ in us. Instead of being angry or reactionary or bringing up problems, we can purpose to edify others. This can only be accomplished by building walls of doctrine in our souls. As we increase in the knowledge of the Word, we are fruitful in every good work, strengthened with His might, according to His glorious power, and filled with patience and longsuffering with joyfulness (Colossians 1:10-12).
