The Creative Approach

Divine creativity is born out of unconditional love and grace and is communicated in practical action. It cares for the other person and identifies with his biological and physical make-up. It is a way to improve situations without negativity.

Whenever you think of a way to improve something, take the idea to God and He will show you a new, creative approach every time. Let us illustrate this by a practical example. An individual church member was aware of some existing problems in the Sunday nursery. Rather than approach those who ran the nursery with negativity, this individual applied wisdom. She went to her pastor and objectively identified the problem as well as offered her services two days a week to implement the solution. She initiated Christ’s life, because she was willing to “lay down her life” in the situation. The pastor responded positively to her suggestion because she did not approach the problem with a critical attitude!

Few Christians understand how to approach practical situations according to specific principles from the Word of God. We are a people “set apart” (Psalm 4:3) for God and we must learn to respond to truth, as well as sacrifice to impart it to others. “Love [God’s love in us] does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful…” (I Corinthians 13:5, Amplified).
