Every person must comprehend the seriousness of choosing to receive Jesus Christ as Savior; the rejection of Christ is the most tragic decision any man can make. Only the Christian can have an eternal and meaningful impact upon the world. Knowing, understanding and manifesting the disposition of Christ to the world is the ultimate purpose for which we were created. Once a man is saved, he must continue to make positive decisions in responsiveness to the Word of God. The difference between a carnal, fruitless babe in Christ and a mature, fruitful servant in the Kingdom is the continuous appropriation of truth and the understanding of Bible doctrine in every category of life.
The key to begin living in truth is found in Colossians 2:6, “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him.” Christ is received by faith alone, minus human merit and striving. The manifestation of the divine disposition in the human vessel is not produced by self-effort, but rather by faith in God’s promise to make it happen. No amount of intelligence or dignity can bring it about. Salvation originates from a source outside of our human nature in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. The faith principle is the same for salvation and for living, because “without faith, it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).
Imagine the dynamic, worldwide impact that would take place if every believer’s goal in life were to please God!
